Oregon weather decides a lot about when concrete can be poured. The short version: May through September is the easy season, April and October are the shoulders, and November through March is possible but conditional.
May through September: easy pours
Long days, low rain, warm-but-not-hot temperatures, and predictable cure conditions. Most of our work happens in this window. The downside: every other contractor is also working, and the calendar fills up fast. If you want a spring or summer pour, book by February.
April and October: shoulder season
Cooler temperatures, more rain, but still workable on most days. We watch the forecast and pour on the clear windows. Schedules are more flexible here because most homeowners are not thinking about concrete yet.
November through March: conditional pours
Cold and wet, but not impossible. We pour through winter with the right additives, heating blankets, and a forecast that gives us a clean 48-hour window. We do not pour into a freeze, into continuous rain, or when temperatures will drop below 32 degrees within five days. We will postpone rather than compromise the concrete.
How to book
For a spring or summer pour, get the quote in our queue by February. For shoulder-season work, four to six weeks of lead time is usually enough. For winter pours, we work on a flexible schedule and slot you in on the weather windows.
